Tutored workshops

Workshops are conducted by request on a professional basis for art groups, societies throughout Australia on availability.

Having extensive knowledge and experience in teaching and working in a variety of media in fine art – [50 years], I do have available teaching times, however, with some consideration given to advanced notice.

It is advisable to make contact one year, or at least six months in advance to arrange suitable dates and times, chosen teaching medium, costing, etc.

2022 Painting workshops:

WANGARATTA ART SOCIETY   –  23rd-24th July 2022    WATERCOLOUR

THE  EMPHSIS FOR THE TWO DAYS WILL BE ON REINFORCEMENT OF IMPORTANT   WAYS TO GAIN GOOD CONTROL AND LIFT YOUR WORK TO A GREATER STANDARD- A CONTINUATION FROM LAST YEAR.    WE WILL WORK TO LANDSCAPE THEMES-WITH ASSOCIATED FIGURATIVE.

GRAMPIANS BRUSHES- HALLS GAP-  10th-15th September  2022

WATERCOLOUR-  six days of comprehensive learning  FOR ADVANCED WATERCOLOUR ARTISTS.

This workshop will be theme based with provided two-part demonstrations.  As I work I explain the process and why I work in such manner.  The understanding is paramount, then practice is implemented to achieve the desired results

{Although this class is fully booked at this stage, a waiting list is available. Also if you don’t like to wait!, a couple of other artist’s watercolour classes may be available -same venue, same dates.]

Emphasis on important factors using LANDSCAPE THEMES.  Comprehensive teaching along with stepped demonstrations  which will reveal ways to gain excellent understanding of technique,  along with those aesthetic qualities we all seek to obtain.

*BALLINA.nsw  29th, 30th September 2022    ” OIL PAINTING -ADVANCED CLASS”

A special two-day Workshop in Oil painting .   With landscape and it’s associated buildings, figures, animal forms, we will emphasize the importance of light on the subject, it’s relationship to tone, colour mixing , and achieving  overall mood.
